Board of Chiropractic Examiners Continuing Education Requirements

The mission of the BoCE Continuing Education Requirements is to establish, by rule, educational, training, and competency standards governing the examination practice of practitioners. The board may, by rule, specify the minimum educational qualifications general practitioners shall have to present themselves as chiropractic specialists to the public.

Approved Continuing Education Courses

Continuing Education Application

Requirements:

40 hours in a 2-year period ending on December 31st of each odd year.

Program Criteria:

The board shall review the information concerning a continuing education course provided under 20:41:08:04 and may grant or deny approval based on the following: (1) Sponsorship of the course; (2) The qualification and experience of the instructor; (3) The applicability of the subject matter to the practice of chiropractic as a healing art.

Board Accepts the Uniform Continuing Education Form: Yes

Board Requires Sexual Boundaries Training: Yes

Board Requires AIDS Awareness / Risk Prevention Training: No

Other Special Areas of Specific Continuing Education Training Required: All licensees need to be CPR certified

Requirements for Optional Acupuncture Certification: Applicant must pass the National Board acupuncture exam.
