Statewide PDMP Integration Announcement

The South Dakota Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (SD PDMP) has partnered with Appriss Health to integrate SD PDMP data into South Dakota electronic health record (EHR) platforms and SD pharmacy management systems via Appriss Health’s PMP Gateway platform. Integration empowers healthcare practitioners at the point of care with information that enhances clinical decision-making. Grant funding will pay PMP Gateway fees for the two-year grant period; however, not all EHR and pharmacy management system vendors are currently integrated and the integration process and duration time are dependent upon your vendor. Any fees charged by your vendor will not be covered by the SD PDMP.

Public Health - Meaningful Use

The South Dakota Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (SD PDMP) fits the criteria to be a public health specialized registry for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Meaningful Use Incentive Program. Therefore, the SD PDMP declares readiness to accept data as a specialized registry to improve public health outcomes. This will be accomplished through integration of Certified Electronic Health Record Technology (CEHRT) and the SD PDMP via PMP Gateway.
