Important Notes About This Test
- This is a rapid syphilis test.
- Have you had syphilis before? If you have previously tested positive and been treated for syphilis, this rapid test will still show a positive result. This is normal because syphilis antibodies stay in your body for a long time (sometimes for life), even after you are cured.
- What you should do if you have previously had syphilis or you are worried you might have a new infection, please do not use this home test. Instead visit your primary care provider or a Department of Health office for a different type of blood test and further care.
