The Serology Laboratory uses Transcription-Mediated Amplification (TMA) methodology to detect Chlamydia and Gonorrhea infections in the following sources:

  • Urine
  • Endocervical
  • Male urethral
  • Vaginal
  • Rectal
  • Pharyngeal

Serologic tests are available for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, along with HIV 1/2 + O Ab/Ag, Syphilis, and Tularemia.

The Serology Laboratory also offers the QuantiFERON-TB Gold Test. This is a whole blood test for use as an aid in the diagnosis of both latent and active infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
