Mycobacteriology Testing

The Mycobacteriology laboratory performs state-of-the-art testing for Mycobacterium species with an emphasis on Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex.

The laboratory also offers QuantiFERON-TB Gold. This is a whole blood test for use as an aid in the diagnosis of both latent and active infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
