The South Dakota Department of Health (SD-DOH) works with South Dakota Health Link as the state’s health information exchange to support interoperability between SD-DOH and external partners (e.g., hospitals, clinics, and laboratories) who have information needed to perform public health work.  Organizations interested in SD-DOH public health use cases are encouraged to contact us by completing initial connection forms found through the SD Health Link Public Health Reporting.

CMS Promoting Interoperability

Under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Promoting Interoperability Programs, the South Dakota Department of Health is declaring a readiness to receive electronic records for the following public health systems:
