Diabetes Provider Training

The South Dakota Department of Health is committed to supporting healthcare providers with accessible, high-quality training resources. This curated list of diabetes-related trainings includes webinars, online modules, and recorded sessions designed to expand provider knowledge, support culturally competent care, and improve patient outcomes. Whether you're working in a clinic, public health program, or community setting, these trainings offer practical insights and tools to better serve individuals at risk for or living with diabetes across South Dakota.

Diabetes Provider Training

This series includes five online modules designed to provide a comprehensive, awareness-level understanding of diabetes. The goal is to help providers effectively support, advise, and monitor programs and services delivered through community-based agencies, including Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

Each module includes its own pre- and post-test.

This webinar explains what prediabetes is, how common it is, how it's screened for and diagnosed, and how individuals can reduce their risk.
