Tobacco Prevention & Control Program

The Tobacco Prevention and Control Program (TPCP) coordinates state efforts to prevent people from starting to use tobacco products, help current tobacco users quit, and reduce nonsmokers' exposure to secondhand and thirdhand smoke.

The South Dakota Department of Health and its partners are pleased to present the 2020-2025 Tobacco Control State Plan. The plan was developed in collaboration with Tobacco Control Program staff, key partners, and stakeholders.
