Dementia vs. Alzheimer’s
Dementia is an umbrella term for a group of symptoms that affect cognitive functioning, including memory loss, difficulty with language, communication issues, reasoning difficulty, struggling to complete basic tasks, and changes in mood or behavior.
Alzheimer's disease is a specific type of dementia that accounts for the majority of cases. While there are some similarities in symptoms between different types of dementia, the underlying causes and progression of the conditions can vary.
