Grant Application Deadline for South Dakota Department of Health Emergency Medical Services Approaches
PIERRE, SD – The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) reminds potential applicants that the Emergency Medical Services grant application deadline is March 15, 2024. The grant, which was first announced and made available on Jan. 16, 2024, is totaling $7.5 million and aims to support critical services in the state, addressing needs identified in the 2023 Regional Services Designation (RSD) analysis. Applications should be submitted to DOHEMSgrants@state.sd.us.
"This grant opportunity, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), aligns with Governor Kristi Noem's commitment to enhancing emergency medical services," says Secretary Melissa Magstadt, emphasizing the importance of securing funding for the state's EMS infrastructure.
