Telemedicine Funding for Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Centers RE-OPENED!
As a result of the legislature passing Senate Bill 209, the South Dakota Department of Health has $5,000,000 of funding available to provide telemedicine technology and infrastructure to assisted living centers and nursing homes in remote and underserved parts of South Dakota.
Nexus SD Implementation Award RFA

2024 EMS Regional Services Designation Grant Funding
This initiative, stemming from the Regional Services Designation analysis of 2023, offers $7.5 million for EMS providers to enhance their services. Applications are open from August 1, 2024, through September 30, 2024.
2024 Recruitment Assistance Program (RAP)
The Recruitment Assistance Program (RAP) provides qualifying physicians, dentists, physician assistants, certified nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, or certified registered nurse anesthetists incentive payment in return for three continuous years of practice in an eligible rural community.
2024 Rural Healthcare Facility Recruitment Assistance Program
The 2024 Rural Healthcare Facility Recruitment Assistance Program application cycle opened on May 1, 2024. This program provides a $10,000 incentive payment to eligible health professionals who complete a three-year, full-time service commitment in a community with a population of 10,000 or less.
