August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, 2023
South Dakota Department of Health Launches New Immunization Information System in Partnership with STChealth
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH), in partnership with STChealth, has announced the launch of its new Immunization Information System (SDIIS), a leading provider of health information technology solutions. The new system will improve immunization reporting and coverage throughout the state, making the lives of public health officials, immunization providers, and local communities easier.
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health wants to remind families that August is National Immunization Awareness Month and with the back-to-school season fast approaching, childhood immunizations can help protect the health of children and youth now and in the future.
Throughout the week ahead and continuing for the duration of the month of August, South Dakota joins the nation and world in celebrating and supporting World Breastfeeding Awareness Week (August 1-7) and National Breastfeeding Awareness Month.
The South Dakota Department of Health’s (DOH) Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program strives to ensure that families have the resources needed to be healthy and strong. On June 1, 2022, WIC income guidelines were updated.
PIERRE, S.D. – Late last month, the FDA announced that the U.K.’s Kendamil will send three types of routine formula to the U.S. including Classic First Infant Milk Stage 1, Organic First Infant Milk Stage 1, and Goat First Milk Stage 1.
