About Project Firstline
Project Firstline provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge they need to stop the spread of infectious disease threats in healthcare settings. Training materials include short videos, interactive scenarios, toolkits, and downloadable resources, all designed for flexibility and relevance to real-world practice.
Whether you’re a nurse, EMS provider, technician, or environmental services worker, you can use Project Firstline resources to build IPC confidence and skills that support safer care.
Project Firstline is for everyone working in healthcare, including:

This module contains four (4) short video episodes (1, 2, 3, and 5) designed to prepare frontline healthcare workers to protect themselves, their patients, and their communities from infectious disease threats. This series of trainings presents not just the recommended infection control practices, but the science and reasoning behind them.
This educational activity is made up of two (2) episodes designed to prepare frontline healthcare personnel and the public health workforce to protect themselves, their patients, and their communities from infectious disease threats, focusing on important injection safety actions to take when using multi-dose vials. This series of trainings is intended to present not just the recommended infection control practices, but the science and reasoning behind them. This session looks at Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the equipment that you use to protect yourself, and to keep germs from spreading in the environment. It emphasizes why proper use of PPE is so important.
