The 2020 PRAMS survey gave South Dakota women an opportunity to share their experiences as part of an effort to improve the health of mothers, babies, and families in South Dakota. The data presented are meant to be used in efforts to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal health by describing needs, focusing interventions, influencing clinical practice, and shaping policy and budget development.

Furthermore, the PRAMS survey will provide useful data to assess future trends in problematic areas. The current report includes data from the 2017, 2018, and 2019 PRAMS surveys for trend analysis.
