Today, the South Dakota Department of Health is announcing the release of two helpful tools designed to better inform South Dakotans on the ongoing COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration process. These tools are in addition to the already available dashboard, which is updated daily.

Free At-Home COVID-19 Testing Now Available To All South Dakota Residents
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health, in partnership with Vault Health, Inc., is now offering convenient at-home COVID-19 testing kits, available to all South Dakota residents at no cost to them. The saliva-based test can be requested by visiting the Health Department website or by clicking HERE, and is geared towards people who have had close contact(s) with confirmed positive cases.
COVID-19 Mass Testing Events Scheduled for 10 South Dakota Communities
The South Dakota Department of Health, in partnership with the South Dakota National Guard and Office of Emergency Management, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing in ten South Dakota communities over the next two weeks.
