Funding for Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Centers (Phase 1)
As a result of the legislature passing Senate Bill 209, the South Dakota Department of Health has $5,000,000 of funding available to provide telemedicine technology and infrastructure to assisted living centers and nursing homes in remote and underserved parts of South Dakota.
- Phase 1: Facilities without current telemedicine capability are eligible to apply for funding based on their number of licensed beds.
- Application opens: 8:00 a.m. CT, July 15, 2024
- Application Closes: 5:00 p.m. CT, August 15, 2024
- Tentative Contract Period: October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2026
- End of Funding Period: December 31, 2026
