How many hours of continuing education are needed for annual renewal of my license?

Twelve contact hours of continuing education each calendar year from an approved sponsor.

How often is the examination given?

The applicant must meet all licensure requirements before being approved to sit for the examination.  The applicant must take and pass the written examination prior to being scheduled for the practicum examination which is given twice yearly at the scheduled Board meetings.

What is the difference between the Hearing Aid Dispensers and Audiologists Board and the International Hearing Aid Society, and the Academy of Audiologists?

The Hearing Aid Dispensers and Audioloigsts Board has as its main goal protection of the public by regulating the professionals it licenses.  The International Hearing Aid Society is an organization that promotes the profession of hearing aid dispensers and the Academy of Audiologists promotes the profession of audiology.
