Chemical & Bioterrorism

This bioterrorism and chemical terrorism laboratory tool was designed as a job aid for those working at the bench in the microbiology laboratory. It is intended to allow you to quickly locate information as it is needed. We recognize that the organisms covered are not encountered on a regular basis in your laboratory and because of that, many of the specific pieces of information will not have been committed to memory.

An additional use of this tool might be developing presentations for in-service training for your staff.

Technical information in this tool was developed by Cindy Jackson and Faye Abdulla of the Tennessee Department of Health, Laboratory Services and modified with South Dakota information by Tim Heath. They would like to thank the many contributors and consultants who assisted them.  Instructional design was provided by Ms. Loretta Gaschler of the National Laboratory Training Network.
