The mycobacteriology laboratory accepts (at no charge to the submitter) primary and reference cultures for all mycobacteria species. The lab identifies all species of mycobacteria and conducts antimicrobial drug susceptibility testing of M. tuberculosis.
The State Public Health Laboratory is the primary laboratory in South Dakota for performing drug susceptibility testing of M. tuberculosis.
