RFP for a Healthcare Licensing System #21-09-03002-002

South Dakota is committed to ensuring quality health care for the health safety of all patients, residents, and clients receiving health care services in all licensed health care facilities in the state.

Pursuant to South Dakota Codified Law 34-12-2 requires any health care facility or related institution for the hospitalization or care, or both, of human beings without first obtaining a license from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) in the manner provided in this chapter. In addition, this State licensing system will be used to meet Administrative Rule 44:58 for the registration of Controlled Substances, Administrative Rule 44:03 for licensing of radiation sources, and to serve as the online incident (complaint) system.

The new State licensing and registration computer software system will be used for all licensing provider types (e.g. hospitals, nursing homes, radiation, controlled substance registry, assisted living centers, etc.).

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from organizations interested in providing or developing the DOH Healthcare Licensing system. The State will consider solutions host by the State or the vendor.  If the vendor chooses to provide responses for each solution, they should be separate responses.
