Nurses in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), assisted living center (ALC), or hospital are not allowed to delegate medication administration tasks to a UMA whose registry status has lapsed or is inactive.
To reinstate to an active status a medication aide must:
- Print the UMA Lapsed Registration Form
- Have a current or previous employer complete the employment verification section verifying the individual has employed a minimum of 12 hours, within the preceding 2 years, in the role of a medication aide in an SNF, ALC, or hospital.
See Initial Registration Requirements
After review and approval by the Board, the lapsed UMA's registry status will be updated to active status.
Registration renewal cards will not be sent to a UMA; a card may be printed from the verification site.
