Nurse Aide Registration Collaboration
Nurse Aide registration is a collaborative process between the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH), South Dakota Board of Nursing (BON), and the South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA).
- South Dakota Department of Health (SD DOH): Oversees certification requirements, receives complaints and conducts investigations.
- South Dakota Board of Nursing (SDBON): Approves training curriculums and programs, and registers qualified nurse aides.
- South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA): Facilitates the development and administration of exams.
