Does your community struggle to find the funding for your most vital community projects? Are you concerned about the health of your community and the future of our youth? This is a conference you won’t want to miss!

A strong economy and healthy people go hand in hand. In order to live a long, healthy life, the economy must be healthy too. Beyond our individual health decisions, our communities must also consider health along with other assets in their community when planning for the future.

Day 1 of this 2-day skill-building workshop is designed to help rural, tribal, and frontier communities become familiar with using a structured, holistic framework to complete a comprehensive assessment that supports the creation of a community plan and assists with grant writing. The ideal audiences are individuals who live, work, or play in rural, tribal, or frontier communities and who are unfamiliar with or new to community assessments and planning, which are essential steps for securing funding for community improvement. Day 1 will conclude with a networking/resource social hour where local experts will be on hand to talk with participants.

On Day 2, participants will learn how to find the resources needed to fund vital community projects, as well as how to write a grant application and how to manage a grant. Both days are designed to be interactive. Participants are encouraged to attend as a community/tribal/organizational team in order to work together during interactive sessions as well as bring their knowledge back to the community.
