Communicable and Infectious Diseases
Office of Disease Prevention Services
This office coordinates infectious disease prevention and control programs. It investigates sources of sexually transmitted disease infection, provides treatment, and applies preventive measures. Field offices provide confidential counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS. Other HIV/AIDS services include educational materials, training for the public, schools, and health care providers as well as the Ryan White Part B CARE Program (assistance with health care costs for those with HIV disease).
