The South Dakota Center for Nursing Workforce was established in 2002 purusant to SDCL 36-9-95 and 36-9-96 to address nursing supply and demand, and recruitment, retention, educational preparation, and utilization of nurses. The Center partners with stakeholders to promote strategies to address the nursing workforce and strives to ensure access to the most recent nursing data from across the state to provide a clear picture of South Dakota's nursing workforce.
