  • Employers: Executive Order 2020-34 declares a state of emergency in SD until June 30, 2021, unless sooner terminated by the Governor.  LPNs, RNs, and APRNs, who do not hold a SD nursing license or a multistate compact nursing license, are exempted from holding a SD nursing license or a compact license during this emergency, they are allowed to practice in SD, or via telehealth, using a nursing license issued from a non-compact state.  Verify the nurse holds an active, unencumbered nursing license at www.nursys.com, free of charge.
