National Health Service Corps Recruitment Programs

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) is a Federal government program administered by Health Resources and Services Administration. NHSC builds healthy communities by supporting qualified health care providers dedicated to working in areas of the United States with limited access to care. NHSC administers programs to recruit health care providers to underserved areas designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). The programs available are NHSC Loan Repayment Program, NHSC Students to Service Program, and NHSC Scholarship Program. All programs offer a monetary incentive to health care providers for a service commitment in a HPSA.

HRSA also offers NURSE Corps programs which include the NURSE Corp Scholarship Program and the NURSE Corp Loan Repayment Program. These programs are for nurses, nursing students, and nurse faculty.
