Recertification / Personal Information Updates / Record Continuing Education Hours

  • EMTs in the state of South Dakota are required to submit proof of current CPR Healthcare Provider certification and 24 hours of continued medical education hours every two years, or proof of current National Registry certification and CPR healthcare provider certification.
  • EMRs in the state of South Dakota are required to submit proof of current CPR Healthcare Provier Certification and 16 hours of continuing medical education hours every two years, or proof of current National Registry Certification and CPR Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • If recertifying online with the state, once you have successfully completed the recertification process, you will not be able to submit any further CME hours in your online account until after your recertification cycle begins again.
