The mission of the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response is to develop and maintain the relationships, infrastructure and expertise necessary to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
NEWS: Mark your calendars for a series of Intruder Response training sessions designed for health care facilities and first responders. Training will be conducted by Strategos International and is sponsored by the USD Sanford School of Medicine and the SD Department of Health. Sessions will be held July 9 in Rapid City, July 10 in Aberdeen, July 11 in Sioux Falls and July 12 in Yankton.
