President Schmidt called the meeting to order at 8:33 AM MT.

CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:  Tellinghuisen added a welcome to the new staff members, Brooke Geddes and Jill Lesselyoung.  There were no other corrections or additions to the agenda.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:  Hauge moved and Heinemeyer seconded to approve the minutes from May 14, 2015.  Motion carried by roll call vote; Schmidt, yes; Heinemeyer, yes; Hauge, yes; Gohn, yes; Tucker, yes.

FY FINANCIAL UPDATE:  Tellinghuisen reported fiscal year to date figures as of July 31, 2015: year to date revenue of $2,720.00; expenditures of $5,459.72 and cash balance of $54,350.56.

NCSB Discussion:  The Board discussed the upcoming annual NCSB Conference in Charlotte, NC on October 8-10th.  Following discussion, it was agreed for Heinemeyer to attend.

Tellinghuisen advised, in the future if funds are available, it was recommended to have a Board member and a staff member from Professional Licensing attend.

Licensee Questions:  SLPA licensee was asking if she was allowed to do Progress Reports since that level of licensure is not able to provide interpretative information of clients regarding client status or service.  Licensee advised Progress Reports entail that information.  Following discussion, Mines advised the licensee to reference the rule 20:79:04:02 for interpretation as to how it would apply to her situation and she may want to seek her own legal counsel if further clarification is needed.

SLPA licensee was questioning if there would be any changes in the physical appearance of the license this year or if the SLPA licensee with a bachelor’s degree could be differentiated from the SLPA with an associate’s degree on the license. Mines advised since the law does not distinguish, therefore the licenses don’t either. The board addressed the matter and confirmed there would not be a change in the physical appearance of the SLPA license.

RENEWAL UPDATE:  Geddes confirmed renewals are coming in a timely manner with approximately one-third to one-half of the renewal database received to date.

COMPLAINTS/INVESTIGATIONS:  There were no complaints/investigations.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS COMING IN BETWEEN DATE OF MAILING AND DATE OF MEETING:  Tellinghuisen requested clarification for CEU’s for the current licensure period. Mines advised that is permissible for all licensees to use CEU’s obtained within the licensure period of October 1, 2013 and October 1, 2015.
