South Dakota Center for Nursing Workforce
Governance Council
The Center's Governance Council membership shall be comprised of eleven members. Each appointed member shall serve a term of three years. However, terms of initial appointees shall be staggered so that no more than three members' terms expire in one year. No member may be appointed to more than three consecutive terms. If a vacancy occurs, the Board of Nursing shall appoint or request appointment of a person to fill the unexpired term. Appointment to an unexpired term is not considered a full term.
CNW Governance Council membership shall include:
- Three South Dakota Board of Nursing (BON) members selected per BON policy.
- One South Dakota Nurses Association (SDNA) member selected per SDNA policy.
- One Nursing Education Deans & Directors (NEDDs) member selected per NEDDs policy.
- One South Dakota Organization of Nurse Executives (SDONE) member selected per SDONE policy.
- One South Dakota Licensed Practical Nurses Association (SDLPNA) member selected per SDLPNA policy.
- South Dakota Board of Nursing Executive Director.
- South Dakota Center for Nursing Workforce Director.
