ADA Policy

The South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners does not administer examinations for licensure; therefore it has not adopted its own ADA policy.  However, the organizations administering the various examinations accepted for licensure by the Board have adopted ADA policies and have procedures in place for accepting requests for accommodations during testing.  After a candidate has requested a testing accommodation from the testing organization, the organization forwards the request with all accompanying documentation to the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.  After reviewing the information provided by the candidate requesting an accommodation and the recommendation of the testing organization, the Board makes a determination of whether a testing accommodation will be authorized for the candidate during the licensure examination.

For more information on this policy, please contact the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners directly.
