The South Dakota Ryan White Part B CARE Program is funded by an annual federal grant. Its goal is to assist low-income, HIV-infected individuals with the cost of specific health care needs. Benefits are determined by federal guidelines and a state advisory council made up of representatives from health care, those with HIV disease, support groups and state agencies. The Department of Health administers the program. Due to limited funding, applicants may be placed on a waiting listing.
To be eligible for the Ryan White Part B CARE Program, an applicant must:
Complete and submit the application form included in the current Ryan White Part B CARE Program Information and Application Packet. Applicants will be notified in writing whether they are eligible for services or whether they will be placed on a waiting list for services. One service available to those on the waiting list is case management services. A case manager can help you find other resources to assist you.
