Improving access to quality healthcare in South Dakota

Welcome to the South Dakota Office of Rural Health. Our mission is to improve the delivery of health services to rural and medical underserved communities, emphasizing access.

We work primarily at the local level. Specific program examples include recruitment of health professionals, assistance to facilities such as hospitals and rural health clinics, helping interested organizations develop and use technology applications, and general information and referral.

NEWS: Mark you calendars for the 4th Annual South Dakota Grant Writer's Conference, August 13 at the Pierre Ramkota RiverCenter. The conference is intended for all levels of grant writers and will present on such topics as finding funding, competitive narrative, and how grants are scored. A formational meeting is also planned for the South Dakota Grant Writers Association. Registration begins mid-June at www.stmarysfoundation.com or 605-224-3451
