The South Dakota State Health Laboratory designates organisms of public health significance that are to be sent to the State Laboratory for confirmation, typing and/or antibiotic sensitivity. These include bioterrorism indicator organisms. If your laboratory isolates one of these organisms, send it to the South Dakota State Health Laboratory in Pierre.
