Eight (8) hours of continuing education is required every two years (biennially) upon license renewal. Typically, if you are licensed in an even-numbered year, your CE will be due upon renewal in the next even-numbered year. The same applies to odd-numbered years. The only exception will be if you are licensed in January because your renewal is due 30 days prior to the license month.The 8 hours of continuing education must be earned in the immediate two years prior to your renewal. Only 4 of the 8 hours of continuing education may be by electronic (computer/online) means during the renewal cycle. “Electronic means” are educational activities obtained via the internet, such as self-study courses and audio/video tapes, with formal testing and passing scores recorded.
